About Fishing Summer Camps

MISSION & VISION

The Fishing Summer Camps arise from Adrián’s experience as an Environmental Educator and his travel agency (Viajes pesca Mosca SL) founded in 2010, which attracted foreign anglers to the Pyrenees. In 2019, he merged both passions with the first fishing camps for Spanish children and teenagers. After their success, along with Miguel and Lucía, he internationalized the camps in 2023. Our mission is to foster a passion for fishing, instill good environmental practices, and create unforgettable and safe experiences that last forever

What do the parents think of our camps?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Fishing camps offer a unique experience for young people, helping them develop skills such as confidence, concentration, and perseverance. These camps allow teens to disconnect from daily stress, promoting relaxation and a connection with nature. They also encourage independence and teamwork, as young people learn to solve problems and value effort. Participating in these camps also enhances academic performance, as it teaches organizational and planning skills that can be applied to other areas of life. On top of that, fishing in natural environments promotes environmental education, teaching young people about the importance of caring for aquatic ecosystems.

These are the documents we will request from parents after reserving the fishing camp for their child, which must be completed and signed for their child to participate:

• Camp contract.
• Parental authorization for vehicle travel.
• Health information: intolerances, allergies, necessary medications, behavioral issues, insomnia, etc.
• Medical insurance, accident insurance, and health cards.
• Participant sizes.
• Contact phone numbers.
• Authorization for photographs and videos.

We will also provide parents with the Criminal Record Certificate with a declaration of sexual offenses or the Suitability Certificate to work with minors for the monitors responsible for their children, as required by Spanish regulations.

Since we started organizing camps in 2019, we’ve encountered all kinds of situations, but the most common is that children, passionate about fishing, decide to attend the camp regardless of whether they come with friends. Most children attend alone and quickly make friends with other participants since they share the same interest. However, there are also cases where groups of friends, either from a hobby or class, choose to join together and attend the camp as a group.
In our international fishing camps in Spain, girls are very welcome. Fishing knows no gender. Girls attending the camp will have a room exclusively for them.
The camps began as exclusively for Spanish children, but in 2023, they started to internationalize. In recent years, we’ve welcomed children from France, the United States, England, and Germany.
The main language at the fishing camp will be English, although Spanish will also be spoken. Additionally, many days there will be 2 hours of Spanish lessons for foreign participants after lunch and 2 hours of English lessons for Spanish participants, allowing everyone to improve their language skills.
No prior fishing experience is required to participate, but a strong passion for the activity is important. Our camp is designed for everyone, from beginners to more experienced participants, so everyone can enjoy and learn.
Each group consists of 4 children and one guide, forming a camp unit. The children will be grouped by similar ages and will fish in a different area each day from the other groups. Units will stay in the same hostel and participate in some activities together.
Miguel, the head of all the guides, has been managing a fishing school in the city of Lérida since 2017. Additionally, both Miguel and Adrián have been organizing these camps since 2019. We have degrees in areas such as Environmental Sciences and Physical Education Activities in Natural Environments, and both have years of experience as fishing guides in Spain.
Choosing a camp in Spain gives you access to excellent fishing areas, a favorable climate, and the opportunity to learn other languages, as we are an international camp. From our location, you can fish for catfish over 2 meters long, carp, trout, perch, black bass, and other species. We are the only international fishing camp offering the possibility of catching such a wide variety of species.
We ensure safety and personalized attention by choosing a strategic location in a small town in the heart of the Pyrenees, a calm and secure place. The fishing locations are very safe, and we have one monitor for every 4 students, allowing us to offer more personalized and closer attention compared to other camps. Additionally, airport reception is 100% safe as we follow the protocols for unaccompanied minor delivery, ensuring that only camp coordinators, properly identified with their ID, receive the children.
Yes, we will provide all parents with the Criminal Record Certificate with a declaration of sexual offenses or the Suitability Certificate to work with minors for the monitors interacting with their children at the camp.
Safety upon arrival at the airport is ensured through 100% secure reception, following the unaccompanied minor delivery protocols set by the airlines. Additionally, our monitors will be present to accompany the children at all times, ensuring they are in a safe environment under supervision. The process includes identity verification and the exclusive delivery of the child to the authorized responsible party, ensuring their well-being from their arrival until transportation to the camp.

During the trip, we will stay at the Noray Hostel in Barruera, located next to the Aigüestortes National Park. This location is perfect for the camp as it provides a comfortable and secure environment, with adequate facilities for the participants and a varied and healthy food offer. Its location in the Pyrenees ensures pleasant temperatures during the summer, and from there, we have access to a variety of fishing spots, where species like trout, perch, black bass, carp, and catfish can be caught.

No, there are no additional costs beyond the price shown on the website. The camp is all-inclusive, covering accommodation, activities, meals, and other services. However, if desired, children can bring a bit of money to purchase fishing gear at the village shop or buy souvenirs.
Yes, the price includes all necessary fishing equipment for the activities. However, if a child prefers to bring or use their own personal equipment, they are welcome to do so.

The goal is for the children to have the opportunity to practice and learn various fishing techniques. For this, we will use different types of lures depending on the species to be caught. For trout, we will use spinners and flies. For perch and black bass, we will use small soft plastics, walkers, and cranks. For catfish, we will use pellets, and for carp, we will fish with worms. This way, the children will be able to experience different techniques and improve their fishing skills.

Yes, there will be mobile signal and Wi-Fi in some areas, but on fishing days, we may be without coverage. Calls home can be made after lunch or after dinner, depending on the day. Additionally, parents and the monitor will have a WhatsApp group to communicate the schedule for the next day’s calls.
For trips canceled less than 90 days in advance, 100% of the reservation will be forfeited, which corresponds to the total cost of the trip (unless a substitute is found). If the cancellation occurs more than 90 days in advance, 50% of the reservation will be forfeited, corresponding to 50% of the total cost of the trip, unless a replacement is found. The remaining 50% will be refunded or can be used for future trips.

Generally, payment should be made via bank transfer to our account or through a virtual payment gateway as follows:
• Reservation confirmation: 50% deposit upon confirming the reservation.
• Remaining 50%: BEFORE 60 days prior to the start of the trip.
